Let me introduce myself

Ciao, I’m Giordana, an Italian L2 tutor with two years of experience and a passionate polyglot. I hold language certifications in Spanish, Portuguese, English, and German, and I have a degree in Languages, Literature, and Cultural Mediation. I was born and live in Italy, but my curiosity and studies have led me to live in Spain, Austria, Peru, and Brazil. Every experience is an opportunity for growth and enrichment, and it is this passion for diversity that I bring into my courses.

When I have free time, I take photos (the pictures you see on the website are mine), read, draw, and dance salsa. On weekends, I never miss concerts and chats with friends over a coffee or a glass of wine. As we say in Italian, I don’t like to sit idle.

My method

Having been a language student myself, I have experimented with various methods and approaches, learning to get the best out of each of them. My method combines dynamism and engagement with a solid theoretical foundation. Lessons are supported by texts, especially for grammar study, and are enriched with historical and cultural insights, debates, readings, and videos. The main goal is for the student to feel confident and fluent in conversation, which I consider the key to language learning.

As a teacher, I adapt my approach to meet each student’s needs, taking into account their level and preferences, whether they favor a more structured, book-like approach or a freer, more practical style focused on everyday communication.

From materials we move to structure. I clarify grammar and vocabulary with simple explanations and targeted exercises, so you can use what you learn right away. Less abstract theory, more real practice.
